Course offerings/limitations
Studies in Mainland China requires good knowledge in Chinese. Incoming students are based at the Institute for International Students (IIS). They may take courses at IIS as well as at other departments with prior approval of the relevant department. It is possible for exchange students to take courses outside of their major program, but the options may be relatively limited. Not all departments are open to exchange students, and professors may decide to reserve certain more popular courses to their own degree students.*Please note that students with Chinese nationality (citizens of PRC) may not apply to study at Nanjing University as an exchange student!
Language(s) of instruction
Students wishing to take courses taught in Chinese should have language knowledge corresponding HSK5 or above.
Insurance
Exchange students are highly recommended to purchase insurance in their home countries to cover the duration of their stay.
