'Generally speaking, exchange students can take take any course in any department with the permission from the instructors. With advanced level of Chinese students can select from all of YZU's courses.

Insurance
Students are required to purchase a group insurance upon arrival according to mandatory regulations at YZU. The premium is approximately TWD 200 per semester.In addition to the local group insurance, exchange students need to purchase a medical/accidental insurance policy in their home country that covers their stay at YZU. If the student cannot present an insurance certificate upon registration, he/she will be required to purchase a commercial medical insurance policy at the cost of approximately TWD 500 per month.
