Insurance
The following insurance is compulsory for international exchange students as of March 2021:
1) National Health Insurance Service (NHIS). It means equal medical care and benefits as Korean nationals. International students in Korea will be automatically registered to the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), effective from the date of their alien registration (most likely done within 10 days into the semester). The invoices will be sent monthly via post. The approximately cost is 40,000 KRW per month.
