General Information
The Y-Band is the musical right hand of the Y-Section, consisting of a group of students who live for the melody of life!

We deliver top-class entertainment at various student parties throughout the year, with the goal of getting you to let loose on the dance floor with an energetic, first-class live show. You’ll most often find us performing at the major student events (kravaller) held in Kårallen.

How do I join Y-Band for the next academic year?
The chairperson of Y-Band is elected at the Y-Section’s spring meeting. Shortly after, the new chairperson posts an open call (“apply for committees in the Y-Section”) on Y-Band’s Facebook page. This is part of a joint application period for all committees, where you can apply to join the new Y-Band. Recruitment takes place through auditions organized by the new chairperson.

Who can join Y-Band?
We’re looking for motivated individuals with experience in playing an instrument or singing. Most members of Y-Band are students from the Y-Section, but that doesn’t stop you from applying if you’re not! We’re simply looking for awesome people to make music with.
